每天你花多久時間坐在椅子上?上課坐,上班坐,吃飯坐,回到家,看電視也坐!?你知道久坐對健康有多負面的影響嗎?而且連運動都救不了你。其實,重點不在運動,而在於…?

 1.「So it looks like no matter how much you exercise, you’re sort of screwed anyways.」

好像做再多的運動都沒有用。

2.「We’ve heard this before: sitting is bad. We’re supposed to be all up and at‘em all day. But most jobs don’t allow that; a lot of us are sedentary at work, then unwind in front of the TV in the evening.」

之前就有人說,坐著不好,我們應該要整天站著,但大部分工作都要坐著,很多人上班坐了一整天,晚上又賴在沙發上看電視。be

up and at‘em:要人做事積極,別懶散,所以常用來叫人起床,這裡指叫大家別整天坐著,至少也要起來動一動

這是根據內科醫學期刊的最新報導,由多倫多復健中心的團隊指出。

4.「The team studied sedentary behavior and found that the health hazards associated with sitting seem to be greatest for people who sit 8 or 9 hours a day. The impact was even more pronounced in people who did not exercise regularly.」

這團隊專門研究坐姿行為。他們發現,每天坐八到九個小時的人健康最有問題,沒有運動習慣的人狀況更明顯。

And sitting for a long time with no breaks for stretching or exercise comes with a 40 percent higher risk of early death.」

久坐會帶來很多健康危機,心血管疾病危險增加增加14%,罹癌風險增加13%,糖尿病風險更暴增為91%,長時間坐著,沒有伸展或運動,早死的機率會增加40%。

period:一段時間

cardiovascular:心血管的

insane:瘋狂的,誇張的

diabetes:糖尿病


6.「The longer you sit the higher the risk, and the risks aren’t entirely offset by exercise.」

坐得越久,危險就越高,運動也完全無法消除這些風險。

久坐會增加你的胰島素抵抗,表示身體無法有效率地代謝血糖。

8.「The US Department of Health and Human Services suggests instead of sitting , you can pace around your office during conference calls.」

美國衛福部建議,電話會議時不要坐著,而在辦公室內走動。

💡原來,久坐會造成這麼多健康負擔,特別是各位不運動的讀者啊,運動雖然不能完全消除危險,但完全不運動可是會讓事情變得更糟呢!學者建議,其實只要每半小時起來活動一下就好,例如走路、做些伸展操、上下樓梯…所以,為了健康著想,忙碌之餘還是要起身活動一下啊~
